Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
  • Adhere to grooming standards limiting visible tattoos and piercings
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work around 12 hours per day
  • Ability to live and work on board a vessel for extended periods
  • Ability to respond in emergencies including climbing ladders and moving through confined spaces
  • Ability to tolerate ship motions including surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch, and yaw
  • Must not consume alcohol during employment
  • Temporary position lasting 28 weeks
  • Full-time, nonexempt employment

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure
  • Positive attitude and strong dedication to hospitality
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in hospitality is beneficial but not required

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • Set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
  • Cater to all culinary requests efficiently
  • Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, answer questions about menu items
  • Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnishing
  • Perform additional duties such as greeting guests at embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality and professional demeanor
