Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- Adhere to grooming standards limiting visible tattoos and piercings
- Ability to stand for entire shifts
- Ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work around 12 hours per day
- Ability to live and work on board a vessel for extended periods
- Ability to respond in emergencies including climbing ladders and moving through confined spaces
- Ability to tolerate ship motions including surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch, and yaw
- Must not consume alcohol during employment
- Temporary position lasting 28 weeks
- Full-time, nonexempt employment
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure
- Positive attitude and strong dedication to hospitality
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in hospitality is beneficial but not required
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- Set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
- Cater to all culinary requests efficiently
- Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, answer questions about menu items
- Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnishing
- Perform additional duties such as greeting guests at embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and professional demeanor
