The role Provincial Senior Living is currently seeking to fill is that of a Server in one of their vibrant community dining settings. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the daily life experience of residents by providing attentive and friendly meal service. The Server is responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming dining atmosphere while ensuring each resident or guest receives timely and courteous attention. Utilizing proper food handling techniques, the Server takes meal and drink orders, serves meals, and ensures satisfaction with each dining experience. This role requires a good understanding of menu items and specials, enabling the Server to answer residents' questions with confidence.
Additional duties include maintaining assigned tables and surrounding areas in an immaculate state, adhering to cleaning schedules, assisting in training new food servers, and following all safety and loss prevention measures. The Server also helps with dining room setup and flow, meets high standards of hygiene and personal appearance, and completes opening and closing checklists. Job Duties
- Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques
- takes meal/drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner
- assures resident/guest is satisfied with their meals
- maintains knowledge of all specials and general description of all food items and explains to residents or guests
- maintains assigned tables and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance and readiness
- follows daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
- assists with orientation and training of new food servers
- practices all safety and loss prevention procedures
- sets-up and cleans the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards
- maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene
- performs and completes opening and closing checklist criteria
- assists in dining room and surrounding areas for proper directional flow, organization and supplies placement
- other duties as assigned
