We are currently seeking a Server to join our team at Tan, an essential role that directly influences the quality of our guests’ dining experiences. The Server’s primary responsibility is to uphold the Richard Sandoval Restaurant’s (RSR) hospitality standards by delivering attentive, efficient, and friendly service. This role involves interacting with customers to provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and beverages, ensuring all orders are accurately processed using computer systems, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and smooth operation of the dining area.
The ideal Server will possess comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant’s food and beverage offerings, coupled with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing a set number of tables, verifying guests’ ages to comply with legal alcohol service regulations, observing guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol consumption, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to enjoy their dining experience fully. Moreover, the Server will actively contribute to operational side-work such as clearing and resetting tables, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to all workplace safety protocols.
Candidates must demonstrate professionalism by adhering to dress code and personal grooming standards, and should take pride in consistently delivering service that meets or exceeds guest expectations. Job Duties
- Pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol Test
- Serve a set number of tables as determined by management
- Possess complete knowledge of RSR Restaurant's food and beverage preparation
- Sell alcohol and food items professionally
- Use a computer for order processing
- Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Maintain specific side-work and ensure the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
- Clear and reset tables
- Check guest identification for legal age to consume alcoholic beverages
- Observe guest behavior, count drinks served, and offer a taxi to guests who should not drive
- Ensure guest satisfaction, striving to exceed expectations
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene
- Other duties as directed
