The Server position at Explor Pahaska LLC is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced customer-facing role. This role is pivotal in ensuring guests receive impeccable service by efficiently serving food and beverages in a friendly and timely manner. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager within the Food and Beverage Department, the Server will interact closely with guests, kitchen staff, and team members to create memorable dining experiences. Beyond serving, this role demands attention to detail in handling orders through Point-of-Sales (POS) software, managing payments, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. The Server is also responsible for contributing to an orderly and welcoming restaurant environment by assisting with tasks such as bussing tables, setting up workstations, and performing other front-of-house duties as needed. Job Requirements

  • Obtain ServSafe Certification in accordance with Company Food & Beverage policy
  • Have excellent customer service and people skills
  • Be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Be able to count change and reconcile paperwork
  • Be physically able to spend the majority of shift on feet in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to work in close proximity to other people

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a restaurant establishment
  • Experience in resort or national park concession preferred
  • ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain in accordance with Company policy
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to count change and reconcile paperwork
  • Ability to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on feet for majority of shift

Job Duties

  • Accurately take orders from guests and submit to kitchen using Point-of-Sales (POS) software
  • Deliver food and drinks to guests
  • Bus tables or assist busser/runner
  • Know restaurant and bar menu promotions and specials
  • Prepare checks, process credit cards, accept and make accurate change for cash payments
  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages according to Federal, State, Local regulations and Company procedures
  • Provide timely, courteous service to all guests throughout the meal service
  • Set tables, polish glasses, prepare workstations and perform side work as assigned
  • Accurately prepare sales and tip reports at shift's end and deposit cash and credit card receipts
  • Understand and comply with Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, Health and Safety standards, policies, goals and initiatives
  • Complete other front of house duties such as hosting and bussing-food running as needed
  • Perform other duties per Duties Checklist as requested
