Job Description
City Winery is a unique and dynamic hospitality destination that seamlessly blends wine, food, and live entertainment to offer an unparalleled cultural experience. Established in 2008 by music industry veteran and visionary Michael Dorf, City Winery has grown into an iconic brand celebrated nationwide for its exceptional live music performances, award-winning, locally produced wines, and delectable cuisine. Our venues provide an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere where guests can immerse themselves in a truly immersive blend of culinary arts, wine education, and live music. City Winery is more than a restaurant or concert hall; it is a vibrant community hub fostering creativity, connection, and memorable experiences.
At City Winery, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of hospitality through a curated combination of amenities including a fully functioning winery, intimate concert spaces, food and wine classes, private event hosting capabilities, and fine dining. This unique mix caters to an upscale clientele of foodies and cultural enthusiasts seeking an authentic wine country experience transported right into the heart of the city. Our commitment to sustainability and quality craftsmanship is evident in our wine production, which consistently receives top ratings, reflecting our dedication to excellence across all facets of our operation.
We are currently offering a rare opportunity for a Server to join our dedicated team, playing a pivotal role in shaping our guests' experiences from the moment they interact with City Winery until their departure. The Server position is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional guest service by ensuring that every visitor receives attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly care. This role demands passion for hospitality, proficiency in multitasking within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism amidst dynamic and often challenging conditions.
Servers at City Winery are responsible for managing guest interactions, including taking orders, serving exquisite food and beverages, processing transactions accurately, and being proactive in anticipating guest needs. The role requires deep knowledge of our menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information, enabling servers to communicate effectively and confidently with guests. Moreover, Servers are expected to embody the City Winery brand, culture, and philosophy in every aspect of their work, maintaining cleanliness, adherence to safety and health regulations, and a polished appearance.
As a valued member of our team, you will have opportunities to engage in continuous learning through ongoing trainings, tastings, and meetings designed to deepen your understanding of our offerings and enhance your skills. We emphasize a collaborative team environment where exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential. City Winery is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that respects diversity and promotes equal employment opportunities.
This position offers flexible scheduling, including the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of our live music and hospitality business. Physical stamina is a requirement, as the role involves standing and walking for the entire shift, as well as lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds. If you are passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, thrive in a vibrant cultural setting, and want to contribute to a pioneering hospitality brand, City Winery welcomes your application.
