The Peninsula Regent is San Mateo's premier upscale retirement community dedicated to providing a luxury resort-like living experience for seniors. We are currently seeking experienced food servers to join our team and contribute to the outstanding dining experience we offer. This role is part-time, focusing on lunch shifts from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, including at least one weekend day, ensuring flexible scheduling for candidates. We offer competitive compensation ranging from $18.00 to $20.50 per hour, depending on experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handlers card
- Ability to work lunch shifts including at least one weekend day
- Previous experience in food service preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a food server or in the hospitality industry
- Valid Food Handlers card
- ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
Job Duties
- Provide excellent table service to residents and guests
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining area
- Respond promptly to resident requests and concerns
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff for seamless operations
