Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- comply with company appearance and uniform standards
- physical stamina to stand for long periods
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- manual dexterity for handling plates and supplies
- ability to bend, squat, stoop and climb as needed
- basic verbal and language skills to communicate with guests
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in customer service or food service preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with guests
- basic math skills
- ability to operate point-of-sale system
- knowledge of dining room and service procedures
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- enthusiasm and a good sense of humor
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- inform guests of specials and features
- answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
- take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
- deliver food and beverages timely
- perform side work at start and end of shifts
- maintain clean service areas
- monitor guests' dining experience and respond promptly to requests
- prepare and present bills
- clean and reset tables
- assist fellow servers
- thank guests and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation
- handle money and operate point-of-sale system
- other duties as assigned
