The role of Server at Red Lobster is essential in maintaining the high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction that the brand is known for. Servers are the face of the restaurant, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every guest. This full-time or part-time position involves greeting guests with a friendly smile, managing orders accurately, and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages. Servers are expected to engage with guests by suggestively selling menu items like drinks, appetizers, and desserts, contributing to the overall dining experience and restaurant revenue. A keen attention to detail is necessary to check in with guests and provide refills, clear plates, and deliver and settle checks promptly. Servers must also adhere to all food safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy dining environment.

Physical stamina and the ability to work on one's feet for extended shifts are important aspects of this role. The job requires bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 30 pounds safely. Job Requirements

  • Must meet the minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the country you are applying
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 30 pounds safely
  • Ability to move about the restaurant and remain standing for an 8 to 12 hour shift
  • Team player with attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous server or customer service experience is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage menu items
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Welcoming guests and greeting every guest with a smile when they are seated
  • Suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts
  • Accurately taking food and drink orders and entering orders into the POS system properly
  • Picking up and delivering food orders in a timely manner
  • Checking back with guests throughout the experience to provide refills as needed and clearing any items from the table
  • Delivering and settling the check in a timely manner, thanking guests and inviting them to return
  • Following all food safety standards
