Job Requirements
- Must be 21+ years of age in order to serve alcoholic beverages
- Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage menu items including alcoholic beverages
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems
- Strong customer service orientation
- Familiarity with local and state alcohol regulations
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Have a thorough understanding of the food and beverage menu including appetizers entrees desserts and alcoholic beverages
- Provide recommendations and descriptions of menu items including wine and cocktail pairings
- Take precise and accurate food and drink orders from customers
- Ensure all special requests and modifications are communicated to the kitchen and bar staff
- Understand basic cocktail preparation methods and garnishing techniques
- Verify the age of customers to ensure they are 21 or older before serving alcoholic beverages
- Understand and comply with local and state laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
- Monitor customer alcohol consumption to prevent over-service
- Refuse service to customers who show signs of intoxication and handle such situations professionally
- Provide exceptional customer service addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Check in with guests to ensure their needs are met and promptly address any concerns
- Recommend and upsell premium or specialty food and beverage items including alcoholic beverages
- Promote daily specials and promotions to enhance the dining experience
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to coordinate the timing of food and beverage service
- Communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen and bar
- Handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately
- Provide change and receipts promptly
- Keep the dining and serving areas clean and well-organized
- Adhere to hygiene and sanitation guidelines particularly in the handling of glassware and serving utensils
