The role of Server 2 at Invited is pivotal in upholding the company’s renowned standards of food and beverage service. This position is designed for an individual who can lead by example, ensuring that every guest receives attentive, timely, and superior service aligned with Invited’s cherished traditions of warm welcomes, memorable moments, and gracious farewells. Server 2 acts as the lead on the service floor, orchestrating the operations and guiding the Server 1 team for a seamless and elevated dining experience. Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Director or equivalent management, this role requires not only adept service skills but also leadership capabilities to maintain smooth collaboration among team members.

In this role, the Server 2 is entrusted with a comprehensive understanding of the à la carte menu and daily offerings, empowering them to mentor and support junior servers effectively. They play a crucial role in resolving complex service challenges, managing last-minute changes with professionalism, and ensuring that member and guest satisfaction remains at the forefront. The Server 2 leads workstation organization, stock maintenance, and enforces adherence to Invited’s high cleanliness and safety standards. Beyond direct service duties, this position contributes broadly to the club’s success by supporting administrative management tasks, facilitating communication between staff, and engaging actively in continuous personal and professional development.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
  • Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally
  • Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service
  • Current Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certifications as required by state and city regulations
  • Completion of Invited’s F&B Service Training program
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and effectively
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate well with team members

Job Duties

  • Maintain high service standards as outlined in the Invited F&B service training programs
  • Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring members/guests are served promptly and attentively, while managing more complex service issues or last-minute changes
  • Ensure comprehensive knowledge of the à la carte menu and daily specials, and guide Server 1 team members in delivering exceptional service
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Server 1 staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Collaborate with management to assign duties, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist fellow employees and lead by example, ensuring smooth communication and seamless service across the team
  • Take responsibility for organizing and maintaining clean, well-stocked workstations and ensuring side work is completed to meet club standards
  • Support management in addressing member/guest complaints, practicing good service recovery, and ensuring any issues are resolved immediately
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by the F&B Director or other leadership
