Job Duties
- Escort guests to their tables when needed
- review MVP program with all guests
- demonstrate strong MVP program knowledge
- review menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, upsell to improve dining experience and raise check average
- write guests food orders on order pads and repeat the order back
- input guests orders accurately into POS system
- check with guests to ensure satisfaction and address problems
- verify guests’ identification for age requirements for alcohol consumption
- collect payments from guests
- clear dishes and glasses from tables and take to kitchen for cleaning throughout guests visit and after departure
- clean and reset tables after guests finish dining
- assist host or hostess by answering phones, taking to-go orders, greeting, seating and thanking guests
- perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying server station, taking out trash, or cleaning bathrooms
- roll silverware, set up food stations, or set up dining areas for next shift or large parties
- stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, tea, beverages, napkins, side plates
- fill salt and pepper shakers and wipe down table tents throughout shift
- ask guests to leave reviews
- maintain positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers
