Job Requirements
- Previous server experience in restaurant or hospitality sector required or minimum six months experience working for any of our restaurants as a host, busser or other similar guest interfacing position
- Must have good performance and manager reference
- 18 years of age or older as required by state law to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- Food handler's card and alcohol awareness training certification where required by state and local laws
- Eligible to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Previous server experience in restaurant or hospitality sector
- Minimum six months experience in guest interfacing roles such as host or busser within the restaurant
- Demonstrated good performance and positive manager references
- Ability to handle money and operate point-of-sale systems
- Food handler's card where required
- Alcohol awareness training certification where applicable
- Eligible to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guests' experience
- Welcome and greet guests within two minutes of being seated
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes
- Offer specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and dessert recommendations either upon request or based on guests' preferences
- Answer questions about food, beverages, and other restaurant services
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Clean and prepare tables for upcoming guests
- Perform side work as assigned during shifts
- Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas
- Monitor guests' dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- Provide proactive beverage refills
- Prepare final bill, present check, accept payment, and process transactions
- Assist fellow servers as needed
- Express appreciation to guests and invite them to return
- Attend scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions
- Notify manager of any guest dissatisfaction
- Cover other servers' duties on breaks as requested
- Participate in catering events as required
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors
