The current opening is for a part-time Server position at Cambridge, with a starting wage of $15 per hour. The shift schedule includes Mondays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. This role is central to enhancing the dining experience of residents by combining hospitality with attentiveness and care. The Server acts as the 'Host with the Most,' greeting residents warmly, facilitating social engagement within the dining room, and ensuring an inviting atmosphere. Additionally, responsibilities include preparing dining settings, assisting with meal service preparations, and maintaining cleanliness as the 'Titan of Tidiness.' Beyond physical duties, the role demands keen attention to residents' dietary wellbeing, acting as an 'Appetite Anthropologist' by communicating any concerns to supervisors and wellness staff. The position requires physical activity such as standing and walking for extended periods, and the ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements
- Be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency
- Maintain a positive and energetic attitude
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently lift or move items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking as necessary
- Must be criminally cleared
- Availability to work Mondays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at an 8th grade proficiency level
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome
- Be present and mingle in the dining room to foster social connections
- Prepare tables, salads, and silverware for meal service
- Buss tables and sweep floors to maintain tidiness
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff about residents' dietary habits and meal attendance
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during meal service
