Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cook experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work full time Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm including some evenings
  • Must comply with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cooking and kitchen maintenance
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cook experience
  • Experience in a high-volume kitchen is preferred
  • Ability to follow established recipes and food safety guidelines
  • Strong organizational and cleaning skills
  • Ability to work full time with flexible hours including morning and some evening shifts
  • Ability to assist with training other employees
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
  • Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
  • Operate and clean equipment after each use and perform scheduled routine cleaning
  • Store, label, and date food items according to policy
  • Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete all required documentation
  • Assist in the cross training of employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned
