Job Description
Vino Volo is a premium wine bar concept operated by Paradies Lagardère, a renowned leader in travel retail and hospitality services. This establishment is distinguished by its elegant approach to wine tasting, offering travelers a sophisticated and memorable experience at select airport locations. Vino Volo combines an upscale lounge atmosphere with expert wine knowledge and a team dedicated to exceptional customer service, making it a favorite for wine lovers seeking refuge and relaxation amidst the bustle of travel. As a key player in travel dining and retail, Paradies Lagardère brings a commitment to quality and innovation, ensuring Vino Volo continuously elevates guest experiences and fosters a vibrant, welcoming environment for customers and team members alike.
The role of Senior Wine Associate at Vino Volo is a leadership position that requires a passionate and knowledgeable individual to guide the team in delivering an extraordinary customer experience centered around wine expertise and impeccable service. You will lead the bar staff in engaging guests through sophisticated wine presentations, personalized recommendations, and a warm yet professional atmosphere that encourages discovery and enjoyment of Vino Volo's curated wine selections. Beyond customer interaction, this position demands a hands-on approach to team development, operational excellence, and adherence to company standards to maintain the high-quality environment guests expect. Emphasizing a positive workplace culture and supporting team members in their growth, you will act as a role model and provide leadership in the absence of a manager, ensuring smooth shift operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include training crew in wine knowledge, service delivery, and sales techniques, as well as managing inventory, food preparation, and cash procedures. You will be instrumental in cultivating a refined yet inviting ambiance despite the challenging airport setting, balancing efficiency with an elevated guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in wine service or hospitality leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding Vino Volo’s core values: Be Extraordinary, Cultivate Community, Plant and Grow, and Share the Wine. The Senior Wine Associate is also expected to maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational integrity, playing a key role in the team’s success and the business's continued growth. This position is designed for individuals who love wine, enjoy leading people, and thrive in a dynamic environment where dedication to service excellence translates into customer loyalty and outstanding ratings. Employment at Vino Volo includes varied hours, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the fast-paced nature of airport retail and hospitality operations.
