The Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage at Universal Orlando Resort plays a crucial leadership role overseeing all food and beverage operations throughout the resort. This executive position involves strategic planning and execution, operational management, financial oversight, and team leadership to drive the division's growth and success. As the SVP, the incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive food and beverage strategy that aligns with Universal Orlando's overall business goals. This includes fostering innovation by incorporating the latest industry trends, new technologies, and creative concepts to continually enhance the guest dining experience.

Operationally, the SVP manages a diverse portfolio that includes restaurants, quick service venues, bars, vending, carts, catering services, and special events. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations is paramount, as is maintaining exceptional food quality, presentation, and service standards. The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership to promote business growth, optimize financial performance by managing budgets, forecasting revenues, and implementing cost control measures. The SVP must excel in driving revenue through innovative promotions and operational efficiencies.

Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field
  • minimum of 10 years experience in food and beverage management
  • at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • experience in the theme park or hospitality industry highly desirable
  • proven track record of driving business growth and improving operational efficiency
  • strong financial acumen
  • excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • experience leading large, diverse teams from front line hourly to VP level talent

Job Duties

  • develop and implement a comprehensive food and beverage strategy aligned with company goals
  • collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth and enhance guest satisfaction
  • stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate new ideas to enhance offerings
  • implement new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and guest experience
  • oversee daily operations of all food and beverage businesses including restaurants, quick service, bars, vending, carts, catering, special events and shared services
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and implement cost control measures
  • drive revenue growth through promotions and efficient operations
  • ensure exceptional guest service by maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
  • address guest feedback and implement improvements

  • actively participate in environmental, health and safety responsibilities by following established policies
