The Senior VDI Administrator role at Leidos is a critical position supporting a large-scale enterprise IT contract for the Department of Defense. Job Requirements
- Experience with interacting with customers to handle service inquiries and problems
- Experience working as a Tier 2 and Tier 3 system administrator familiar with web browsing and ITSM software like ServiceNow
- Knowledge of IC IT standards and best practices
- Extensive knowledge of Citrix technologies including XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, and StoreFront
- Experience managing Microsoft M365 Azure Virtual Desktops
- Experience with patch and upgrade methodology for Citrix front-end and back-end systems
- Experience with rapid testing, validation, and deployment of new baseline images
- Experience conducting incident and trend analysis via log review and performance baselining
- Experience with scripting and automation
- Experience troubleshooting issues in a growing environment
- Time management skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Track record of working effectively within a team and support to peers toward improved processes and results
- Experience with support ticket management systems
- Experience mentoring or supervising others
- Candidate must at a minimum meet DoDM 8140.03 IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements
- Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 6 years, Associate's with 10 years, or High School Diploma with 12 years
- TS/SCI with Poly required for position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a poly
- US Citizenship is required

Job Duties
- Perform remote administration of servers located in offsite data centers
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 operations support for Citrix technologies and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
- Monitor infrastructure and identify system anomalies including storage, network, and database health
- Collaborate with engineering teams for modernization planning
- Conduct network latency analysis to resolve user experience issues
- Implement version and architectural changes and major system upgrades
- Coordinate testing and deployment of Group Policy modifications
- Perform server backup and restoration
- Monitor desktop capacity and license/certificate status
- Coordinate with stakeholders for incident analysis and solution development
- Establish availability and capacity management solutions
- Provide follow-up reports for root cause analysis and process improvement
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures
- Update operations documentation for 24/7 IT Operations Center
- Respond to after-hours outages when mission critical
- Conduct routine maintenance during prescribed windows
- Provide mentorship and training to junior team members
