We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Training Coordinator for Commercial Learning & Development Events to join this dynamic team on a 6-plus month contract basis, with potential for long-term engagement. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and offers a competitive hourly pay range of $30 to $37. This role will play a vital part in designing, planning, and executing commercial training programs, leadership meetings, onboarding sessions, and various learning initiatives that are integral to the company’s growth strategy.

The Senior Training Coordinator will lead the full spectrum of event management activities including venue and site selection, catering coordination, audiovisual production, and attendee registration. They will ensure seamless onsite execution while maintaining proactive communication with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Responsibility extends to managing vendor relationships, conducting RFPs, overseeing contract negotiations, and tracking event deliverables such as timelines, action plans, and milestones. The coordinator will support multiple concurrent events and initiatives, making strong organizational skills and multitasking ability essential.

The role demands a collaborative approach, partnering closely with Commercial Learning, Operations, and leadership stakeholders to deliver high-impact training outcomes. The candidate will also be tasked with process mapping, identifying opportunities for operational improvements, developing standard operating procedures, and analyzing post-event metrics, feedback, and KPIs to drive ongoing enhancements. Exposure to learning management systems like SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, and Litmos is important, as is experience in SOP development and process improvement frameworks.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in training coordination, event management, learning operations, program coordination, commercial training support
  • Experience managing end-to-end corporate or training events
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience coordinating vendors, contracts, logistics, and registration processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools
  • Biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry experience
  • Experience supporting Commercial Learning and Development teams
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms such as SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, Litmos
  • CMP certification or event management background preferred
  • Experience with process improvement, SOP development, and operational reporting
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments

Job Duties

  • Lead planning and execution of commercial training events, onboarding programs, leadership meetings, and ad hoc learning initiatives
  • Manage end-to-end event logistics including venue sourcing, site selection, catering and food & beverage coordination, audio-visual production, registration and attendee management
  • Coordinate onsite event execution and ensure seamless participant experience
  • Develop project timelines, action plans, and execution schedules
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and operational deliverables
  • Support multiple concurrent training initiatives and event schedules
  • Manage vendor relationships, RFP processes, and contract negotiations
  • Partner closely with Commercial Learning, Operations, and Leadership teams
  • Deliver executive-level updates regarding event status, risks, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment and execution excellence
  • Conduct process mapping and identify operational improvement opportunities
  • Support SOP development and training operations best practices
  • Analyze post-event metrics, attendee feedback, and operational KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training effectiveness and operational efficiency
