Job Description
Our client is a leading company in the healthcare industry, specializing in innovative solutions within the biotech, pharmaceutical, and life sciences sectors. Known for its cutting-edge approach and commitment to advancing health outcomes, the company is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area and fosters a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence. The organization values employee development and invests heavily in training initiatives to ensure the growth of its workforce and to maintain its competitive edge in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry.
We are currently seeking a Senior Training Coordinator for Commercial Learning & Development Events to join our client on a 6-plus month contract basis, with long-term potential. This hybrid role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering an excellent opportunity for professionals experienced in managing large-scale corporate training events and learning operations within the healthcare sector. The pay range for this position is $30 - $37 per hour, and traveler benefits are provided according to agency package terms that vary by vendor and assignment.
As a Senior Training Coordinator, you will be the pivotal leader responsible for orchestrating the planning, organization, and execution of commercial training events, onboarding programs, leadership meetings, and various ad hoc learning initiatives. This role demands high proficiency in managing end-to-end event logistics such as venue sourcing, site selection, catering coordination, audio-visual production, registration processes, and attendee management. You will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders, including Commercial Learning, Operations, and Leadership teams, to ensure events run smoothly and align with business strategies.
Your project management expertise will be crucial in developing detailed timelines, action plans, and execution schedules for multiple concurrent training and event activities. You will coordinate with vendors, manage contract negotiations, and lead RFP processes to secure the best resources and services. Onsite event execution will also be under your purview, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for all participants.
In addition to event management, you will contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing post-event metrics, attendee feedback, and operational KPIs to refine training effectiveness and operational efficiency. You will support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training operations best practices, driving process improvement initiatives and operational reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and over five years of experience in training coordination, event management, learning operations, and program coordination, preferably within biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with learning management systems such as SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, and Litmos are essential. A background in commercial training support, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility settings are critical for success in this role. Candidates with CMP certification or event management credentials are preferred.
Join a dynamic, forward-thinking healthcare company dedicated to learning and development excellence. This position offers a unique chance to leverage your skills in a highly impactful role that fosters professional growth and contributes directly to the success of the organization's talent development and commercial training strategies.
