This senior position is designed for highly skilled professionals who excel in performing advanced inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning, and project leadership tasks on electrical power distribution equipment. The work environment spans a variety of critical facilities including commercial, industrial, utility, semiconductor, data center, government, military, and mission-critical infrastructures.

The Senior Test Technician operates independently and leads testing crews, managing field execution activities and serving as a technical expert for both customers and junior technicians. Candidates for this role are expected to hold a NETA Level III certification or possess equivalent experience demonstrating mastery in electrical power systems, protective relaying, substation testing, and commissioning practices. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $60 to $75, adjustable based on the candidate's experience, skills, and geographic factors.

Key responsibilities include performing acceptance testing, conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complicated issues, commissioning new installations, and leading electrical testing projects. The role requires hands-on experience with a broad range of electrical components such as low- and medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, cable systems, automatic transfer switches, grounding systems, battery systems, and substation equipment and controls.
