The role of Senior Telecommunications Operations Specialist at Valiant Integrated Services is an essential position within the night shift team, primarily supporting 24-hour Crisis Communications for critical operations. This senior-level role requires a deep understanding of satellite voice/data, landline, telephone, secure and non-secure voice troubleshooting and support. The specialist will operate, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot diverse telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, servers, leased lines, cryptographic and UHF equipment. They will also develop and maintain network and system monitoring tools for global communication equities and apply data analytics to innovate best practices for situational awareness and predictive monitoring of globally deployed systems.

Additionally, this position demands interaction with various government agencies and provides an opportunity to offer VIP communications support to senior government officials. The work schedule generally consists of a night shift from 5 PM to 5 AM on a rotational basis, requiring flexibility and the ability to multitask during emergencies. A security clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph is mandatory, reflecting the sensitive nature of the information handled. This role is geared toward individuals with at least 4 years of UHF radio and customer communications field experience and those comfortable working in a high-pressure, operationally critical, and secure environment. Job Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • BA/BS degree or technical equivalent
  • Four or more years of UHF radio and customer communications field experience
  • Experience working 24/7 on a rotational basis
  • Knowledge of crisis communications operations and security
  • Familiarity with telecommunications software, hardware, and monitoring systems
  • Ability to maintain high-speed data links
  • Ability to provide VIP communications support
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks under emergency conditions
  • Willingness to work night shifts from 5 PM to 5 AM
  • Ability to pass background checks and maintain clearance

Job Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent technical experience
  • Four or more years of UHF radio and customer communications/field experience
  • Experience supporting telecommunications on a 24/7 rotational basis
  • Knowledge of operations, technical and security aspects of a 24/7 Crisis Communications Facility
  • Familiarity with telecommunications software and hardware monitoring systems
  • Experience with switches, routers, servers, STE, IDNX, leased line, cryptographic and UHF radio equipment
  • Ability to maintain integrity of multiple high-speed data links
  • Experience providing VIP communications support to senior government officials
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks during emergency situations
  • Experience with rotational work schedules

Job Duties

  • Provide satellite voice/data, landline, telephone, secure and non-secure voice troubleshooting/support to the Sponsor and various government agencies
  • Support an Operations Center environment with a focus on incident and event management
  • Responsible for operations, technical and security support for 24-hour Crisis Communications
  • Operate, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot/isolate fault in various communications equipment including routers, switches, servers, leased line, cryptographic and UHF equipment
  • Develop and maintain network and system monitoring tools for global communications equities
  • Use data analytics and data science tools to innovate best practices for situational awareness and predictive monitoring of globally deployed systems
  • Maintain integrity of multiple high speed data links
  • On occasion, provide VIP communications support to senior government officials
  • Other duties as assigned
