The position of Senior Talent Analytics Analyst at Calance is a critical role designed for a highly skilled analytics professional with deep expertise in human resources data and talent management. This position is offered as a 12-plus month contract-to-hire opportunity located in Plano, TX, and features a hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday). The hourly pay rate ranges from $48.00 to $53.00 on a W2 basis, reflecting the seniority and technical requirements of the role.

As a Senior Talent Analytics Analyst, you will serve as a pivotal partner to HR functional areas, supporting strategic decision-making through advanced data-driven insights. Reporting directly to the Manager of Talent Analytics Consulting, you will leverage your strong analytical skills to transform complex data sets into actionable intelligence that informs talent priorities and drives meaningful business outcomes. This role demands a blend of quantitative and qualitative analytical expertise, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively to senior and executive leadership.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive trending and predictive analyses, shaping workforce KPIs, and developing sophisticated dashboards to visualize talent data and track performance metrics. You will spearhead large-scale analytics projects to identify root causes and key drivers behind talent trends and operational challenges, contributing to the evolution of Calance's analytic capabilities toward predictive and prescriptive stages.

Collaboration is fundamental in this role. You will work alongside data scientists, data architects, and senior analysts to prioritize integration efforts and enhance the quality and relevance of talent-related data sources. Additionally, you will be instrumental in establishing data governance standards and ensuring data integrity to uphold the reliability of insights generated.

This position seeks individuals with hands-on experience leading analytics efforts in large enterprises, proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, and statistical programming languages like R or Python. A strong foundation in data cleansing and quality assurance is essential, along with demonstrated proficiency in storytelling through data, strategic planning, and consulting capabilities. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree in business, data science, analytics, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in developing HR metrics and building dashboards and empowering users with self-service visualization
  • Prior active role in validating data quality

  • Prior experience in presenting to senior and executive leadership teams
  • Naturally inquisitive and driven to pursue answers and insights through data

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, data science, analytics or related discipline
  • Hands-on experience in leading talent analytics efforts for a large enterprise (large data sets, except Excel)
  • Experience in Power BI and Alteryx
  • Experience in basic SQL
  • Experience with R, Python and other statistical tools
  • Proven ability to consult and tell the story and robust analytical skills coupled with strategic planning abilities
  • Strong skills in data gathering, cleansing, and quality assurance

Job Duties

  • Conduct simple to complex trending, statistical and predictive analysis to help drive HR department and business workforce objectives and inform talent decisions
  • Participate in and bring advanced analytical support and expertise to various HR and business initiatives related to the talent lifecycle and tailor data mining and analyses so results will be actionable and measurable
  • Mix quantitative and qualitative methods, spearhead large scale analyses to identify the root cause and key drivers of talent trends
  • Analyze HR data, develop workforce KPIs and create dashboards to advise of impacts to the workforce
  • Add context to internal talent trends with external metrics, environmental shifts in work related mindset and practices to draw implications and propose strategic plans
  • Extract data to develop and own value add dashboards that synthesize trends and track progress toward closing gaps against goals
  • Collaborate in identifying most impactful data sources to prioritize integration efforts
  • Bring creative problem solving to bridge knowledge gaps, including data extrapolation or new data capture efforts
  • Recommend standards and governance in place to prioritize data quality
  • Establish collaborative and consultative relationships and demonstrate keen skills in interpreting data effectively
  • Partner closely with Talent Analytics Sr Analysts, Data Science and Data Architect Consultants to determine project roadmap for each priority
