P.F. Chang's is a well-established and renowned restaurant brand known for its upscale casual dining experience inspired by Asian cuisine. The company prides itself on offering a vibrant atmosphere where guests can enjoy freshly prepared dishes made with high-quality ingredients. With a commitment to excellence, P.F. Chang's has built a reputation for delivering memorable dining experiences, blending traditional flavors with innovative culinary techniques.
As a Senior Sous Chef, Senior Kitchen Manager, or Chef De Cuisine at P.F. Chang's, you will take on a pivotal leadership role within a high-volume, scratch kitchen culinary team. This position is full-time and non-exempt, with pay ranging from $21.42 to $28.41 per hour or $61,261.20 to $81,252.60 annually based on experience. The annual salary assumes a workload of 50 hours per week. You will report directly to the Executive Chef and be responsible for managing daily culinary operations, ensuring food quality and consistency, and facilitating an exceptional guest experience through the kitchen team’s performance.
Your leadership will be critical to maintaining the quality standards of the restaurant by managing food preparation, execution of menu items, and upholding standard operating procedures. You will mentor and develop culinary team members, creating a fun and positive work environment that fosters professional growth and teamwork. Your duties include scheduling, interviewing, hiring, giving feedback, and recognizing team achievements. You will also engage directly in prep and line cooking activities as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Additionally, you will oversee compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines and contribute to cost control through food inventories and inventory management, aligning with financial goals. P.F. Chang's values a supportive community among its staff, demonstrated by initiatives like the Lucky Cat Fund for qualifying team members facing hardships. The company also offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, competitive pay, performance bonuses, and opportunities for professional development and management training. Employee referrals are also rewarded with bonuses, and there are exclusive discounts available to staff.
This role is ideal for culinary professionals with at least 3 years of leadership experience in fast-paced, high volume kitchens who possess strong mentoring skills and an ability to manage financial aspects of restaurant operations. Experience in casual or upscale dining, as well as exposure to working within a corporate franchise environment, is preferred. This position requires physical capabilities to stand and work for extended periods, operate kitchen equipment, and handle moderate lifting.
Joining P.F. Chang's means becoming part of a passionate team motivated by a purpose to celebrate life, family, and food. The company promotes from within and is dedicated to providing opportunities for growth and advancement. Working here is more than just a job—it is a chance to be part of a community committed to excellence and meaningful work. If you have the culinary expertise and leadership qualities to thrive in a dynamic environment, P.F. Chang's invites you to apply and join their team in delivering an outstanding dining experience.
