The Senior Sous Chef role at Waldorf Astoria Orlando is a pivotal leadership position within the Culinary team. This role involves comprehensive oversight, including managing production lists, performing line checks, expediting services during peak periods, and innovating menu offerings by developing seasonal menus, promotional features, and daily specials. Collaboration is essential in this role, as it requires fostering strong, positive relationships between Front of House and Back of House teams to deliver seamless operational efficiency and an outstanding guest experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a culinary leadership position
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in inventory and kitchen management software
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Valid food handler’s certification

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or senior culinary leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Experience in menu development and inventory management
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
