Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory or sous chef experience
  • proven banquet experience
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • physical ability to handle kitchen demands
  • excellent time management and multitasking abilities

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef and banquet chef with overseeing the culinary team and operations primarily in banquets and select outlets
  • prepare, cook, and present food in alignment with quality standards, productivity goals, cost controls, and forecast needs
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation standards while fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • assist in managing kitchen staff, including cooks and other personnel
  • oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • monitor production flow and product quality to maintain efficiency and excellence
  • train, supervise, support, schedule and evaluate kitchen staff to ensure optimal performance
  • provide strong leadership and foster teamwork among the culinary team
  • encourage creativity and passion for culinary excellence within the team
  • ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations in conjunction with ECOSURE
  • uphold Hilton’s commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • maintain a customer-focused approach to ensure satisfaction and quality service
