Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • Or two-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts or related major
  • Two years experience in culinary or related professional area
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and schedules
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with four years of experience in culinary or related professional area
  • or two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with two years of experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to manage budgets and staffing levels effectively
  • Experience in menu development and food presentation
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and employee coaching

Job Duties

  • Lead culinary team by supervising, managing employees and day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Maintain productivity and motivate staff by building mutual trust and respect
  • Serve as a role model exhibiting integrity and professionalism
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and food preparation workers
  • Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation standards and Marriott Food & Beverage policies
  • Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations and manage purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
  • Prepare and cook food items according to required specifications and standards
