Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
- Or two-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts or related major
- Two years experience in culinary or related professional area
- Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and schedules
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with four years of experience in culinary or related professional area
- or two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with two years of experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to manage budgets and staffing levels effectively
- Experience in menu development and food presentation
- Skilled in conflict resolution and employee coaching
Job Duties
- Lead culinary team by supervising, managing employees and day-to-day kitchen operations
- Maintain productivity and motivate staff by building mutual trust and respect
- Serve as a role model exhibiting integrity and professionalism
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and food preparation workers
- Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation standards and Marriott Food & Beverage policies
- Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations and manage purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- Prepare and cook food items according to required specifications and standards
