The Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Culinary Manager to lead the kitchen operations. This role is a full-time management position based onsite at the hotel and is crucial to the success of the daily food and beverage services offered at the property. The salary for this position ranges from $58,000 to $77,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses that recognize exceptional performance.

The Culinary Manager will be accountable for the overall success of daily kitchen operations, demonstrating culinary talents through hands-on participation while leading and managing the team. This position requires a balance of creativity, leadership, and business acumen to ensure all food-related functions run smoothly and efficiently. The manager will work closely with staff to continually improve both guest and employee satisfaction, while also maintaining the operating budget. Supervising all kitchen areas to guarantee the consistent production of high-quality food is a key responsibility. Additionally, the Culinary Manager will guide staff development, provide effective training, and enforce stringent sanitation and food safety standards.

Supporting the Executive Chef, managing kitchen shifts, and being flexible to perform various culinary tasks in the absence of other employees are also critical duties.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • Or two-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts or related major
  • Two years experience in culinary or related professional area
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and schedules
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
