Job Description

Marriott International, a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering inclusive workplace environments. Among its many prestigious brands, W Hotels stands out with a mission to ignite curiosity and expand worlds through innovative luxury and service excellence. W Hotels offers a unique blend of contemporary design, vibrant social scenes, and trendsetting experiences tailored to today’s discerning travelers. As part of Marriott’s expansive portfolio, W Hotels provides employees not only opportunities to contribute to world-class service but also a dynamic platform for personal and professional growth.

This specific role is part of the Sales and Marketing category based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 1439 Chestnut Street. It is a full-time, on-site management position with a competitive hourly pay range of $41.35 to $54.81, and it includes eligibility for bonuses. Relocation assistance is available to suitable candidates. This important role is responsible for proactively soliciting business, focusing primarily on managing large group or other customer segments with significant revenue potential. The position requires a strategic approach aligned with Marriott’s brand standards and a commitment to optimizing revenue opportunities through up-selling, negotiating, and customer relationship development.

As a Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, crafting effective sales plans, and managing complex contracts. You will collaborate actively with internal teams and external partners to tailor offerings according to customer profiles and market trends. Your understanding of the competitive landscape, including economic factors, supply and demand, and competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, will inform your strategic decisions to close high-value deals. Your efforts will contribute directly to meeting and surpassing both individual and team revenue goals.

The role demands a blend of proactive solicitation, market savvy, relationship building, and the ability to handle complex negotiations. The candidate will be expected to plan and execute sales strategies that maximize revenue for Marriott properties while ensuring an outstanding customer experience consistent with W Hotels’ unique culture and Marriott’s customer service standards. The job also entails managing the operational side of bookings, such as proposal generation, contract writing, and correspondence, to ensure seamless service delivery.

Marriott International is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment that celebrates the unique backgrounds and talents of every associate. Working within W Hotels means joining a team that values originality, innovation, and a forward-thinking spirit, making it an ideal environment for professionals aiming to be part of a global industry leader and shape the future of luxury hospitality.

If you are passionate about sales, excel in negotiation and client management, and thrive in a vibrant, luxury hospitality setting, this opportunity offers a rewarding career path to grow and become the best version of yourself while contributing to Marriott’s global success.
