The role of Senior Sales Manager at the AC Hotel Washington DC Navy Yard is a pivotal leadership position designed for a high-performing sales professional. The Senior Sales Manager is essential in driving revenue growth, supporting the Director of Sales, and playing a crucial role in the success of the sales and catering team. Beyond the typical sales functions, this role involves shaping sales strategies, mentoring junior team members, and acting as a critical liaison between clients and hotel operations to ensure seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities include proactive generation of new business while nurturing existing accounts and market segments, managing client relationships from initial prospecting through to post-event follow-up, and collaborating with internal teams to plan and execute group events, meetings, and functions. The Senior Sales Manager will also be responsible for accurately forecasting group room and food and beverage revenue and contributing to strategic revenue planning efforts. Utilizing hotel sales systems such as Delphi, CI-TY, and PMS, the individual will maintain detailed account management and track sales performance. Active participation in sales meetings, training sessions, and reporting is expected to align sales efforts with broader property and company objectives. Job Requirements

  • 3-5 plus years of hotel sales experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals

  • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically
  • Experience with hotel sales systems such as Delphi, CI-TY, PMS preferred
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences

Job Duties

  • Proactively generate new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts and market segments
  • Support the Director of Sales in overseeing sales and catering efforts, including coaching and team development
  • Lead client relationships from prospecting through post-event follow-up, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional service
  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute group events, meetings, and functions
  • Accurately forecast group rooms and food and beverage revenue and contribute to strategic revenue planning
  • Conduct site tours, client meetings, and sales calls to achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Utilize systems such as Delphi and other sales platforms to manage accounts and track performance
  • Participate in sales meetings, trainings, and reporting to align with property and company goals
  • Serve as a leader within the team by fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and service-driven culture
