The Senior Receptionist & Switchboard Operator will be the primary point of contact for anyone entering the establishment, greeting guests warmly and efficiently handling phone inquiries from across the United States. This person will manage the distribution of important access credentials, such as facility access cards and visitor name badges, while also scheduling meeting rooms to support the organizational workflow.
This position requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a multifaceted role involving administrative support and interpersonal communication. Beyond basic receptionist duties, the role entails light PC support tasks and administrative functions crucial to daily office operations. The Senior Receptionist & Switchboard Operator position plays a vital role in maintaining up-to-date company phone and speed dial lists and managing loaner company cell phones, ensuring operational readiness and effective communication channels. Additionally, this role will offer assistance to the administrative team and other departments with miscellaneous tasks such as preparing envelope labels and compiling manuals.
This is an onsite position requiring physical stamina for duties such as walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting items up to 50 pounds occasionally. Working conditions include a typical office setting with adequate lighting, ventilation, and noise control to promote a comfortable workspace. The role demands moderate dexterity for regular use of calculators, keyboards, and basic hand tools.
