Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum eight years experience as receptionist in busy switchboard environment
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute
  • Flexibility to work shift hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage high volume telephones calls professionally
  • Basic computer and clerical skills
  • Good judgment and organizational abilities

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Experience in a headquarters environment preferred
  • Eight plus years as a receptionist in a busy switchboard setting preferred
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service and relations skills
  • Proficient with PC and basic clerical tasks
  • Good organizational and judgment skills

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors, ask them to sign in, issue visitor badges, process and assign wireless network accounts, contact employees visitors are to see
  • Activate access for temporary badges for employees who forgot or lost theirs or have malfunctions
  • Answer and route global calls using company-wide switchboard, handle confidential calls appropriately
  • Prioritize calls, escalate customer service issues to proper chain of command
  • Maintain and update company phone and speed dial lists
  • Train back-up personnel and provide guidance on policies and procedures
  • Notify employees of inbound deliveries or direct deliveries to Mail Room
  • Provide light administrative support such as issuing access cards, scheduling meeting rooms, assisting with office tasks
  • Proactively seek out additional tasks during downtime
  • Follow up on loaned access cards and contact Security if not returned
  • Maintain neat and orderly reception area
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Site Manager
