The Senior Project Manager role at Ledcor is a strategic and leadership-driven position essential to advancing the company’s telecom infrastructure initiatives. This full-time role in Lexington, KY, places the candidate at the forefront of managing high-impact projects such as fiber optic network deployments, wireless infrastructure builds including small cell installations, and large-scale network upgrades. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle—from planning and risk management to execution and delivery—ensuring projects meet schedule, scope, budgetary guidelines, and adhere to stringent quality and safety standards.

This position demands a seasoned professional with over eight years of telecom or utility construction project management experience and a strong understanding of telecom construction methods, permitting processes, and relevant industry codes and standards like NESC and NEC. As a senior leader, the incumbent will provide strategic direction, lead multidisciplinary teams, optimize resource allocation, and manage critical communications with clients and stakeholders. Operational responsibilities include contract negotiation, change order management, project scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination. Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of telecom or utility construction project management experience
  • Education in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of telecom construction methods, permitting processes, and industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience with contract negotiation, cost control, and scheduling tools is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 30 percent across the United States and to Florence, KY
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Education in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Strong understanding of telecom construction methods, permitting processes, and industry standards (e.g., NESC, NEC, local codes)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience with contract negotiation, cost control, and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar) is a plus

Job Duties

  • Champion and uphold Ledcor's safety-first culture, ensuring all safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded on telecom construction sites
  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale telecommunications projects, including fiber deployments, small cell installations, and wireless tower builds
  • Manage risk management, permitting, and client communications throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead the identification and pursuit of new telecom project opportunities
  • Oversee the project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation using industry-standard tools and methodologies
  • Lead the implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and ensure compliance with telecom construction standards and specifications
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Negotiate contract execution and change order management
  • Help establish and manage project systems, including cost tracking, reporting, and documentation
