Job Description
Our client is a prominent Japanese corporation with a strong foothold in the real estate sector, known for their commitment to excellence and strategic growth in the U.S. market. They specialize in managing diverse real estate portfolios, including multi-family, commercial, and mixed-use properties. This company prides itself on its innovative approach to real estate development and asset management, leveraging deep market insights and robust operational expertise to maximize asset value and investor returns in a competitive marketplace. Operating with a global perspective, the organization fosters a dynamic and inclusive work environment that values leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The role of Senior Project & Asset Management Manager is a pivotal position within the company's U.S. operations. This senior-level manager will be responsible for overseeing a comprehensive real estate portfolio as a limited partner (LP), ensuring the seamless execution of development projects while simultaneously optimizing asset performance and managing financial oversight. The position requires an individual with a strategic mindset and strong hands-on capabilities to manage the full lifecycle of real estate projects from planning through to disposition. The manager will coordinate closely with developers, contractors, and both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, risks are adequately mitigated, and value is maximized.
Additionally, the role demands rigorous financial analysis and the construction of detailed financial models to support critical investment decisions. The manager will be instrumental in overseeing lease management, tenant relations, and operational performance to optimize net operating income (NOI). Monitoring budgets, assessing compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing detailed reporting are essential functions within this role. The position also involves travel to project sites and partner locations, reflecting the necessity for strong relationship management and on-ground presence.
Importantly, this role serves as a critical liaison between the U.S. operations and the Tokyo headquarters, playing a key role in aligning strategic objectives and operational practices across regions. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders across varied geographic locations, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between all parties involved. The ideal candidate will bring over eight years of relevant experience in real estate development and asset management, preferably focusing on multi-family properties, complemented by strong financial acumen and knowledge of U.S. real estate regulations and property systems.
This position not only offers the opportunity to influence and drive real estate portfolio growth but also to be part of a globally respected organization that values professionalism, strategic thinking, and operational excellence. Those seeking a challenging and rewarding senior management role in the real estate sector, with a unique opportunity to work within an international corporate framework, will find this position to be an excellent fit.
