Job Description

Twitch is the world’s largest live streaming platform, renowned globally for its diverse communities centered around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and much more. It serves as a vibrant hub where thousands of communities gather daily to share experiences, connect, and engage in live content that spans a vast array of interests. As a pioneer in live streaming, Twitch is not only a platform but also a dynamic social ecosystem fostering engagement, creativity, and interaction among its users. The company thrives on building strong community ties both online and within the organization, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and shared success. Employees at Twitch are encouraged to work together cohesively, bringing diverse talents to solve complex challenges in the live streaming space.

The role available is for a Senior Programming & Development Manager in the Community Originals team, which is dedicated to producing some of the most original and engaging content in livestreaming. This position specifically focuses on Twitch Rivals, a competitive entertainment initiative that involves partnerships with publishers, streamers, and brands. The Senior Programming & Development Manager will be pivotal in shaping and managing the Twitch Rivals calendar, which acts as the core framework for delivering competitive gaming content that resonates deeply with creators and their communities. In this capacity, the incumbent will lead top-of-funnel partnership conversations with key stakeholders, including the biggest creators, brands, and game publishers, helping to strategize and drive compelling programming initiatives. They will be responsible for understanding and leveraging gaming trends, event planning logistics, and producing comprehensive post-event reporting that measures success and identifies areas for improvement. The role demands not only a strategic mindset but also hands-on engagement with production vendors to ensure alignment with priorities, curating detailed event briefs, and providing thought leadership within the community originals team.

Candidates should demonstrate a passion for gaming culture, possess comprehensive knowledge of various gaming mechanics and competition structures, and exhibit an aptitude for quickly grasping new game dynamics to explore how they could be integrated into Twitch Rivals competitions. Reporting to the Director of Production and Events, the Senior Programming & Development Manager travels across a landscape of innovation and community interaction, making decisions that elevate Twitch’s position as a leader in competitive gaming entertainment.

This full-time position is based in locations such as San Francisco or Los Angeles, with an attractive salary range from $107,300 to $206,500 USD annually, depending on experience and location. The compensation package includes sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and a range of comprehensive benefits that support the personal and professional growth of its employees. With Twitch’s commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity, prospective employees are welcomed regardless of veteran status, disability, or other protected legal statuses. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for seasoned professionals passionate about esports, entertainment, and community engagement to make a meaningful impact on a global stage while advancing their careers in a innovative and supportive environment.
