The Program Manager role within the Airborne Line of Business at GDMS offers an exciting opportunity to lead and influence programs that support fundamental defense services critical to national security. This role demands operational leadership, customer interaction, proposal development support, growth initiatives, and profit and loss management. The Program Manager will manage programs encompassing concept through design, development, integration, production, and support of airborne electronic solutions deployed across various Department of Defense platforms. GDMS provides ruggedized open architecture mission processors, scalable stores management systems, multi-level security solutions, and sensor processing capabilities, positioning its offerings at the cutting edge of defense technology.
In this position, the Program Manager will work closely with the Business Segment Director in a matrix organization, leveraging organizational capabilities to maximize project effectiveness. Responsibilities include setting project baselines, monitoring performance, implementing technical solutions, supporting change proposals and new business opportunities, and fostering customer growth to ensure success at all levels. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in delivering complex systems to internal and external customers, an aptitude for financial and technical project management, and the ability to thrive under pressure within a dynamic environment.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus minimum of 8 years
- Ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship

Job Duties
- Use proposal plans and strategies to develop, define, and implement cohesive, integrated program, subcontractor, and material plans that achieve overall objectives
- Develop WBS and WBS dictionary as baseline for scope definition and effective integrated cost/schedule management
- Authorize work, organize interdepartmental activities, and track work accomplished to baseline plans
- Conduct project reviews to identify risks, develop corrective actions, and communicate with project teams
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment of resources
- Forecast project completion based on cost and schedule performance trends
- Support customers on technical questions regarding projects
- Lead teams to identify and quantify risks and opportunities, and manage mitigation and capture activities
- Prepare and present program status to leadership and external customers
- Balance project plans, risks, and opportunities with executable strategies
- Identify scope changes and develop project positions for cost and schedule adjustments
- Manage profit and loss of projects
- Develop and execute proposal plans and strategies
- Support and develop customer relationships and new business opportunities
- Lead or support customer negotiations for projects
