Sodexo is a global leader in integrated facilities management and food services, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the people and communities it serves. Established with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and sustainable practices, Sodexo partners with a wide range of clients including educational institutions, corporate environments, healthcare facilities, and government agencies. With a presence in numerous countries and a reputation for excellence, Sodexo prioritizes creating supportive work environments where employees can thrive personally and professionally. The company values diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all employees feel respected and valued. Sodexo's offerings extend far beyond food service to include comprehensive facilities management solutions designed to foster productivity and wellbeing.
The Senior Production Cook role at Sodexo, based at Endicott College, offers a fulfilling full-time career opportunity with a competitive pay rate of $32.90 per hour. The position primarily involves working weekends during afternoon and evening shifts, although more detailed scheduling information is shared during the interview stage. This role is distinct from student worker opportunities, specifically designed for candidates available to work full-time without the hour restrictions typical of student jobs.
As a Senior Production Cook, you will be integral to the culinary operations, responsible for preparing a diverse range of nutritious hot and cold dishes across multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Your role goes beyond cooking; it involves applying advanced culinary techniques—both classical and contemporary—in cooking, plating, and garnishing to ensure food quality and presentation meet Sodexo's high standards. You will follow complex recipes and product preparation methods diligently while contributing to sustainability efforts by minimizing food waste.
This senior position also entails leadership responsibilities such as overseeing production staff, providing training, and assigning tasks to ensure seamless kitchen operations. Reliability and punctuality are vital, as is a commitment to maintaining a healthy, safe, and collaborative work environment. Your positive attitude and dedication to customer service play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences, enhancing the overall satisfaction of those served.
Sodexo is renowned for fostering a flexible and supportive workplace that recognizes the importance of work-life balance. Employees in this role have access to continuous training, development programs, and career advancement opportunities. The company supports its workforce with comprehensive benefits including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) plans, employee discount programs, and more. Some locations may offer additional perks like free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, transportation assistance, or parking to enhance employee wellbeing.
Joining Sodexo means becoming part of a company with a purposeful mission: to create a better everyday for everyone and contribute positively to societal and environmental progress. Sodexo values individuality and encourages employees to bring their authentic selves to work. The company culture emphasizes respect, fairness, and inclusivity, ensuring a workplace where everyone’s voice is heard and their contributions matter. This approach not only enriches employee experiences but also strengthens the team and drives Sodexo’s success worldwide.
If you are a seasoned culinary professional with a passion for excellence, leadership abilities, and a desire to work within a dynamic and socially responsible organization, the Senior Production Cook position at Sodexo is an excellent opportunity to advance your career and make a meaningful impact through your work.
