We are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Operations Senior Product Owner to join our team in a hybrid role. This position focuses on driving transformative operational initiatives through the deployment of generative AI solutions across business operations. In this role, you will act as the critical link between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams by gathering and refining AI use cases into actionable requirements. You will be responsible for developing and testing AI prompts for tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Google Gemini, ensuring solutions are reliable, reproducible, and tailored to business needs.

The ideal candidate combines deep insurance industry knowledge with expertise in emerging technologies. Familiarity with low-code and no-code platforms like Power Automate and Mendix, as well as experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire, will provide a strong foundation for success. The position emphasizes leadership in managing operational workstreams, fostering collaboration across departments including Operations, Underwriting, and IT, and leading change management efforts for smooth adoption of new technologies.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead strategic initiatives aimed at improving end-to-end underwriting and operational processes. The Senior Product Owner will champion continuous improvement, leveraging Agile methodologies to align teams, identify inefficiencies, and drive innovation that enhances user experience and operational efficiency. Reporting typically to a director-level leader or above, the successful candidate will contribute to CNA’s broader strategic goals by optimizing AI-driven solutions that scale business impact.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years as a product owner or equivalent in operations or underwriting
  • Experience with insurance or finance products in operations or underwriting environment
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Job Qualifications

  • Experience developing operational readiness and change management plans
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate user insights into product development and operational improvements
  • Applicable certifications such as SAFe PO/PM CSPO or PSPO preferred

Job Duties

  • Own manage and deliver a backlog of AI enablement work with clear priorities and acceptance criteria
  • Design write and maintain prompts and prompt templates for Microsoft 365 Copilot Copilot Studio and Google Gemini
  • Develop prompt evaluation rubrics and test suites run structured testing across scenarios and document results
  • Iteratively refine prompts based on feedback business rule updates and model tool changes perform regression testing to prevent quality degradation
  • Create reusable patterns such as prompt libraries prompt chaining examples to scale consistent outcomes across teams
  • Lead cross-functional coordination to ensure alignment for seamless technology transitions
  • Develop and execute operational readiness and change management plans including stakeholder engagement process impact assessments communication strategies and adoption planning
  • Lead operational initiatives to transform end to end underwriting and operational processes ensuring clear requirements and alignment on scope priorities and outcomes
  • Own and prioritize operational workstreams ensuring alignment with broader business goals define success criteria validate outcomes with stakeholders
  • Facilitate Agile sessions to analyze current state processes identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Lead planning and refinement activities ensuring work is clearly defined aligned to business value and actionable
  • Integrate customer and user insights into planning and execution to drive measurable improvements
  • Analyze metrics and feedback to identify trends inefficiencies or opportunities and recommend enhancements
  • Inspire and motivate cross-functional teams fostering ownership and long term decision making
  • Collaborate with leaders across product operations and other business areas to align prioritization and execution with strategic goals
