This company specializes in delivering high-quality dining experiences across multiple locations, with a specific focus on operational excellence, customer service, and innovation in hospitality. Operating within various regions, including Seattle, Portland, and Spokane airports, SSP America is committed to fostering dynamic work environments that support employee growth and development. The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport location, one of the largest and most complex airport operations under SSP America, offers a full-time, on-site Human Resources Business Partner role with a competitive salary between $100,000 and $105,000 plus eligibility for bonuses. This employment opportunity promises not only comprehensive compensation but also a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid holidays, and more.
The Human Resources Business Partner role at SSP America entails strategic involvement with airport operations leadership, designed to translate operational goals into effective people strategies. The primary responsibility for this position covers Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, with supportive roles in other regional airports such as Portland and Spokane. This role requires collaboration across multiple restaurants and operational teams, including those operating under union and non-union frameworks. The HR Business Partner will engage deeply with Directors of Operations, General Managers, and leadership teams to manage workforce planning, staffing strategies, and operational reviews.
Key aspects of this role include participation in enterprise-wide projects, leadership development, and cross-functional initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and operational performance. The HR Business Partner conducts complex employee and labor relations tasks, including coaching, performance management, grievance administration, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, and workplace investigations, ensuring a balanced application of company policies and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Additionally, this position oversees leadership development and talent management initiatives, including coaching for General Managers and Assistant Managers on crucial aspects such as accountability, engagement, and performance management. The role demands proficiency in HR information systems, workforce analytics, and technology platforms to guide operational decision-making and forecast workforce needs effectively.
Success in this role is measured by the establishment of trusted partnerships with operations leaders, proactive and effective handling of employee relations, and the integration of workforce planning and talent development into the operational fabric of the airports served. SSP America's commitment to equal opportunity employment and inclusive workplace culture further underscores its dedication to employee welfare and organizational excellence, making this HR Business Partner role a critical strategic position within the company.
