Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a renowned global leader specializing in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG has fast grown into a dominant force in the live entertainment industry, recognized for its extensive platform that encompasses venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company proudly operates a collection of seven world-class owned venues and supports a prestigious client roster including some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. OVG is committed to delivering outstanding live entertainment experiences through its comprehensive range of services that cater to the evolving needs of numerous stakeholders in the entertainment ecosystem.
The Senior Operations Manager role at Oak View Group focuses on managing the day-to-day operations of two prominent venues: Regions Arena and Saenger Theatre. This position requires the independent exercise of judgment to oversee and coordinate all operational activities, ensuring the highest levels of service and facility maintenance. The responsibilities include facilitation of changeovers, maintenance, and repairs of facility systems, along with comprehensive administrative planning to support optimal event booking and rebooking processes. This is a full-time position with a competitive annual salary range of $65,500 to $80,000.
In this key managerial role, the Senior Operations Manager is tasked with supporting the Director of Operations by planning, managing, coordinating, and reviewing work plans related to the venues' services and operations. The role demands strategic problem-solving skills, the ability to effectively allocate resources, manage workflows, and evaluate operational procedures to enhance productivity and quality of service. The manager also has an important role in staff selection, training, evaluation, and motivation to maintain a high-performing team that adheres to safety and operational standards.
This role commands a proactive approach to contract management; bidding for services, updating emergency response and fire safety plans, and ensuring contractual compliance are critical components. The Senior Operations Manager acts as a representative of the Operations Department in the absence of the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for executing disciplinary actions and staff exits when necessary. Moreover, the position requires close collaboration with operations managers to schedule housekeeping and contracted labor, administer budgets, approve expenditures, and maintain superior customer service standards.
Working at OVG means joining a company that values inclusivity, diversity, and innovation. The company promotes a culture of excellence and community representation, emphasizing the importance of diverse perspectives in its workforce to drive continued disruption and advancement in the sports and live entertainment industries. OVG is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to providing a work environment free from discrimination and bias.
