The Oncology Account Manager role at Genmab is a strategic position focused on developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders involved in cancer patient care. This individual acts as both a clinical and business leader within their assigned territory, covering all of South Carolina as well as Augusta and Savannah, Georgia. The manager is responsible for effectively representing Genmab’s oncology portfolio within the U.S. marketplace, providing approved disease and product information to decision makers, and sharing valuable resources to improve patient outcomes.
This role requires a blend of scientific knowledge, sales expertise, and business acumen. The Oncology Account Manager must meet or exceed sales goals by positioning Genmab's products effectively for appropriate patients. They practice strategic time management, prioritizing engagements that drive brand value and benefit patients. Success in this position involves developing robust territory business plans based on market analysis, flexing between virtual and in-person interactions, and adapting communication methods to fit customer preferences.

The position is eligible for a competitive compensation package ranging from $160,000 to $240,000 annually for U.S.-based candidates. Additional compensation elements, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives, may also be available.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required
- 4+ years in sales, marketing, or clinical (pharmaceutical, biotech, rare disease, or patient care) is required
- 4+ years demonstrated success in Oncology sales and/or account management to be considered for Senior Oncology Account Manager
- Hematology launch experience preferred
- Demonstrated strong capability in account management, superior selling competencies and proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals
- Demonstrated strong business analytics to understand and analyze business and market drivers, and develop, execute, and adjust territory business plans
- Demonstrated skills at building and maintaining professional relationships with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in matrix teams
- Demonstrated track record of developing self-to-drive and enhance performance
- Must be proficient in the following applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Veeva, etc.
- Must be flexible, able to manage multiple tasks, and have strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Effectively support Genmab's Oncology portfolio in the U.S. marketplace
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals for the territory by effectively positioning the benefits and use of Genmab's products for appropriate patients
- Demonstrates effective time management by focusing efforts on engagements that drive brand value, prioritizing activities that make a difference for patients
- Develops and implements robust territory business plans centered on performance
