Job Description

Baylor Scott & White Health is the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas dedicated to promoting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. With a commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services across the state, Baylor Scott & White focuses on serving faithfully, striving for continuous improvement, supporting one another and those they serve, and making an impactful difference through initiative and excellence. The organization’s core values emphasize joy in service, constant betterment, collaboration, and impactful contributions to the community's health and welfare.

The Senior Officer, Multi-Level Giving at Baylor Scott & White Irving Foundation plays a critical role in leading comprehensive fundraising efforts that encompass annual giving, planned giving, grateful giving, and select grant writing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Foundation President/Vice President, this key position collaborates extensively with local Foundation leadership and system-wide fundraising teams to design and implement multifaceted strategies aimed at increasing donor engagement, broadening philanthropic support, and strengthening the pipeline of future major gift donors.

This role is responsible for the strategic oversight, execution, and evaluation of Baylor Scott & White Irving Foundation’s annual fundraising campaigns, which include direct mail, digital appeals, leadership giving programs, and grateful patient initiatives. In addition to managing day-to-day operations and campaign management, the Senior Officer focuses on cultivating and stewarding donors who contribute between $1,000 and $10,000, while working to identify avenues for advancing these donors into larger giving portfolios. This involves creating meaningful, personalized donor experiences designed to inspire long-term engagement and philanthropy.

The Senior Officer also leads the management and growth of the Clinton Howard Society, the Foundation's planned giving program, by maintaining relationships with current members, identifying new prospects, and enhancing the donor experience associated with planned gifts. Collaboration with the Grateful Giving team is key to identifying and cultivating grateful patient donors within the specified giving range. Additionally, the role requires close cooperation with Foundation leadership, development officers, marketing, and prospect research teams to maximize fundraising impact and identify opportunities for growth.

Fundraising performance is continuously analyzed through the evaluation of campaign outcomes, donor engagement trends, and appeal effectiveness, allowing for data-driven improvements. The position involves managing both the annual giving budget and specific campaign budgets, ensuring prudent stewardship of Foundation resources. Furthermore, the Senior Officer supports Foundation fundraising priorities by contributing to grant proposal development and identifying related funding opportunities as assigned.

This onsite position demands a high level of professionalism, interpersonal skills, and project management capabilities to effectively balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and preferably Adobe Creative Suite, is required, along with experience using donor CRM systems such as Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or similar platforms.

In summary, the Senior Officer, Multi-Level Giving, is fundamental to sustaining and growing the philanthropic support necessary to advance the mission of Baylor Scott & White Irving Foundation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading healthcare system's fundraising success, impact community health positively, and cultivate a broad base of loyal philanthropic partners.
