The Event Manager role at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia is a full-time management position with an annual pay range of $71,000 to $94,000, including eligibility for performance bonuses. This role is critical to the seamless planning and execution of meetings and special events that uphold the Ritz-Carlton’s reputation for luxury and attentiveness. The Event Manager will ensure that all events are flawlessly transitioned from sales through operations and back to sales, maintaining strong coordination and communication among all departments involved. Candidates in this position will play a key role in implementing departmental strategies, managing budgets, and enhancing guest satisfaction by delivering events that meet the highest quality and service standards.

Responsibilities include managing all aspects of event operations with a focus on maintaining profitability by developing vendor relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling services and products. The manager must foster a positive environment that exceeds guest expectations by empowering staff, addressing guest feedback, and continuously improving service delivery. Additional duties involve ensuring staff are well-trained in safety procedures, providing ongoing feedback and coaching, and participating in staffing and corrective action processes. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Minimum 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
  • Ability to conduct walk-throughs and ensure quality standards
  • Capability to manage budgets and vendor relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, or marketing
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in managing event operations and budgets
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
  • Proficiency in coordinating multi-departmental efforts
