Job Description
Montage International is a distinguished luxury hotel management company known for its exceptional commitment to delivering unparalleled hospitality experiences. With a portfolio that includes some of the most prestigious and high-end hotels and resorts across the globe, Montage International prides itself on its dedication to quality, elegance, and creating memorable stays for every guest. The company fosters a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture that champions the mantra 'do what you love,' encouraging employees to bring passion and creativity to their roles. This approach not only fuels individual and collective success but also ensures that every guest experience is imbued with genuine enthusiasm and attention to detail.
At Montage International, the core mission extends beyond providing luxury accommodations—it strives to craft experiences that resonate deeply with guests, blending sophisticated service with a warm, personalized touch. The company is also dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants with disabilities and providing reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process. Employees at Montage are valued as integral members of a passionate team that is engaged in making a significant impact within the luxury hospitality industry.
The Senior Manager of Meetings and Events role is pivotal within Montage International's team, focusing on the meticulous management, coordination, and execution of group assignments transferred from the Sales Department. This position specifically targets the effective oversight of contractual agreements related to guest room blocks, meeting spaces, food and beverage arrangements, and special concessions. Acting as a proactive business partner, the Senior Manager supports the company’s broader goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values, ensuring that each event hosted achieves the highest standard of success and client satisfaction.
This role demands a thorough understanding of event management within a luxury hotel context, emphasizing strong client relations and efficient resource utilization to maximize hotel revenue. The Senior Manager of Meetings and Events must adeptly monitor room blocks and meeting spaces based on contract terms, utilizing group history reports and client input to make informed adjustments. Responsibilities also include reviewing sales contracts carefully to validate all important clauses such as cut-off dates and attrition terms, enforcing deadlines, and releasing unused meeting spaces to optimize revenue streams.
Further duties encompass the preparation and distribution of vital event documentation like the Conference Resume and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring clear communication of any changes to relevant hotel departments. Accurate forecasting of group rooms and food and beverage revenues is a key performance metric, maintaining a variance of within 5 percent. The role also involves collaboration with group reservations agents to verify contract terms concerning room blocks, rates, and special concessions while actively engaging in site visits and planning meetings for upcoming groups.
This position is ideally suited for a professional with a passion for luxury hospitality and event management, who thrives in a detail-oriented role that balances operational logistics with client relationship management. The annual salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000, reflecting the base salary exclusive of incentives such as commissions or gratuities. Montage International upholds a commitment to equal employment opportunity and a drug-free workplace, ensuring a fair and respectful work environment for all employees.
