Job Description
Montage International is a distinguished hospitality company known for delivering extraordinary, personalized, and authentic experiences in the luxury hotel and resort industry. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for creating memorable moments, Montage International leads the market by offering exceptional service and innovative hospitality. The company fosters a culture where associates are empowered to think creatively, grow their talents, and pursue their passions. Known for its dedication to employee development and diversity, Montage International prides itself on being an inclusive employer that supports applicants with disabilities and complies with equal employment opportunity standards. This established and reputable hospitality group is recognized for its outstanding brands like Montage Hotels & Resorts and Pendry Hotels, which represent the pinnacle of upscale accommodations and refined guest experiences. Working at Montage is more than just a job; it is a vibrant career path filled with opportunities for professional growth and learning.
The role of Senior Manager of Meetings and Events at Montage International offers a dynamic career opportunity within the hotel and resort sector. This position is primarily responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing group assignments that are handed over by the Sales Department. The key focus of this role is to ensure the smooth management of all contractual agreements involving guest room blocks, meeting spaces, food and beverage services, and special concessions. The Senior Manager will serve as a vital business partner, actively supporting the company's goals, vision, mission, and values.
In this role, the successful candidate will maintain strong client relations to ensure that conference specifications are clearly communicated to all relevant departments, resulting in a superb meeting experience for planners and attendees alike. Responsibilities include monitoring room blocks and meeting spaces to maximize hotel revenue by making timely adjustments based on contract terms and client needs. The position requires meticulous oversight of sales contracts, deadlines, and program changes, as well as distributing essential documentation such as conference resumes and banquet event orders (BEOs) prior to events. Forecasting group rooms and associated food and beverage revenues within close variance is a critical function, alongside coordinating with group reservation agents to ensure accurate room blocks and concessions are correctly implemented. Participation in site visits and preparatory meetings forms an important part of the role, contributing to future group business and affiliation growth.
The Senior Manager of Meetings and Events position is based indoors with moderate environmental control, and involves a mix of desk work, walking, and standing, necessitating the ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in key software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and basic math skills related to billing processes. It is a full-time position offering a competitive annual salary range of $75,000 to $85,000, excluding incentives. Montage International emphasizes a drug-free workplace, pre-employment substance testing, and a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity. Joining the Montage team means becoming part of a culture that encourages fun, creativity, continuous learning, and career advancement within one of the leading names in luxury hospitality.
