Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from accredited university
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing or related professional area
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to handle guest complaints effectively
- Knowledge of safety procedures and staff training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing or related area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with 2 years experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budgets and financial performance
- Experience in customer service and staff training
- Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
- Proficiency in event planning software and tools
Job Duties
- Research and analyze new products, pricing and services of competition
- Apprise property of all groups that will impact property operations
- Execute event management strategy aligned with company business strategy
- Conduct daily walk-through of banquet floor to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
- Develop vendor relationships and establish prices and service agreements
- Create opportunities to upsell during event planning
- Manage controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
