Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of experience in event planning or coordination
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs or more
  • Understanding of event planning processes, procedures, and systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Advanced math skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Hospitality or catering experience is preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience in event planning or coordination
  • Comprehensive understanding of event planning processes, procedures, and systems
  • Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset to continuously improve event execution
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Advanced math skills with the ability to calculate figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups
  • Excellent communication skills to evaluate and convey complex content in a concise and logical manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing client relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Hospitality experience, particularly with restaurants and/or catering, preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee the setup, refresh, and removal of food, beverage, and service items to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with management to communicate department goals and align event execution with client vision
  • Confirm pre-event setup, including space configurations and audio/visual requirements, ensuring all details are complete
  • Follow up with clients pre- and post-event to confirm satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex client inquiries and escalated complaints efficiently
  • Assist in the execution of SLAs, KPIs, benchmarks, and recurring reports to maintain high service standards
  • Manage the meeting and events calendar for event spaces, ensuring optimal utilization
