Currently, ProHealth Physicians is seeking a friendly, patient-focused, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join their Primary Care/Adult Medicine team. This role is essential to the patient experience, providing the first point of contact through greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, handling telephone inquiries, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate demographic information. Job responsibilities include scheduling appointments with a focus on triaging urgency, answering incoming and making outgoing calls regarding appointment requests and follow up, handling message communications with clinicians through the EHR, conducting patient check-in, monitoring reminder calls, and ensuring patient documentation like lab results are properly scanned and indexed. The position requires close handling of payment batches each shift to comply with cash control procedures and demands adherence to OSHA and ProHealth policies. This role supports smooth office operations and strives to deliver excellent service through teamwork. Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is emphasized as crucial for success.

Located at 2560 Dixwell Ave., Suite 2B, Hamden, CT 06514, the Medical Receptionist position typically works Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST, with potential travel to other sites for coverage as needed. The role offers competitive hourly pay ranging between $18 and $32 per hour, depending on experience, education, and other relevant factors. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical and dental plans, vision coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) savings plan, education reimbursement, employee discounts, and several voluntary benefits.

UnitedHealth Group, the parent company, advocates equality and diversity in all aspects of employment and patient care. They emphasize creating an inclusive environment where employees from all backgrounds can thrive.
