Job Description

LabCorp is a leading global life sciences company committed to delivering diagnostic solutions that improve health and improve lives. Founded with the mission to transform health through diagnostics, LabCorp offers a broad portfolio of innovative testing services, ranging from routine blood tests to advanced genomic and drug development services. With a strong presence across the United States and internationally, LabCorp supports healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, researchers, and patients by offering reliable, timely, and high-quality laboratory results. The company is known for its cutting-edge technology, commitment to customer service, and continuous efforts to enhance healthcare through scientific advancements. This position is for a Senior Service Representative/Courier based in City, State. In this role, you will be an essential part of the logistics team, responsible for the precise and timely pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and patient reports. Your everyday duties will ensure that vital medical samples are safely transported to testing facilities, which impacts patient care and treatment decisions. This role is not only critical for operational success but also offers direct interaction with clients, highlighting the importance of excellent customer service and professionalism. The Senior Service Representative/Courier will be assigned a company vehicle to use exclusively on assigned routes. Additionally, the role comes with the option to take the vehicle home for a monthly fee of $100, allowing personal use while the company covers all fuel, tolls, and maintenance costs. Flexibility is required for the role’s varied schedule, including weekend rotations to provide comprehensive route coverage. Shift hours range between 9:45 AM to 6:45 PM or 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with the schedule adapting to meet the business needs. Additionally, this position serves as a floater within the logistics team, meaning you will provide backup coverage across multiple routes and help train new employees. This additional responsibility highlights the importance of having a thorough knowledge of all routes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage time efficiently. Your role will involve working closely with dispatchers to coordinate pickups, evaluating traffic patterns and alternative routes, and ensuring all specimens and supplies are handled according to safety standards. The ideal candidate will be punctual, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills for addressing customer concerns that may arise during deliveries. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the daily requirements associated with specimen handling and transport. Being proactive and a team player is key, as the role entails assisting in warehouse duties such as stocking supplies, calibrating centrifuges, and suggesting process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency. LabCorp offers a dynamic workplace environment with comprehensive benefits for employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k) retirement plans, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Part-time employees who work fewer than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. LabCorp is committed to equal employment opportunities and fosters an inclusive culture where all individuals are valued and respected regardless of their background or characteristics. This role aligns well with candidates who are reliable, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to the healthcare industry by ensuring the integrity and efficiency of specimen transportation.
