The role of Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician within Amazon's Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team is critical to sustaining the seamless operation of automated packaging and distribution equipment. This position is based in Lubbock, TX, offering an hourly wage between 40.00 and 46.00 USD. It is a full-time role that provides comprehensive benefits starting from the first day of employment, including health care, 401(k) matching, and paid parental leave, among others. As a seasoned technician, you will act as a leader and mentor for a team of service technicians responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of material handling equipment and robotics systems. Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 4+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
- 4+ years of repairing material handling equipment, automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
- 4+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience
- 4+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience
- 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
- 4+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment experience
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

- 2+ years of programmable logic controls programming experience preferred
- 2+ years of robotics system components and controls experience preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain and oversee material handling equipment and facility equipment such as fire life safety systems
- Lead a team of service technicians and develop training plans
- Oversee vendors making planned and emergency repairs
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids
- Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used
- Develop job plans for emergency repair of critical assets
- Perform physical tasks including moving up to 49lbs, standing and walking during shifts up to 12 hours, climbing ladders and gangways, bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
