The position of Senior Meat Cutter at Sam's Club represents a vital role in driving sales and enhancing the shopping experience for members by delivering high-quality meat products. The Senior Meat Cutter is expected to maintain expert knowledge of meat products, including seasonal variations, and adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities include cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping meat to specifications while managing inventory effectively and controlling shrinkage. In addition, the role demands proficiency in leveraging digital tools and technology to improve business decisions, production processes, and overall member satisfaction.

The Senior Meat Cutter acts as a talent ambassador, supporting and training other associates and modeling high standards of quality and service aligned with Sam's Club’s values. Candidates must be 18 years or older and have at least six months of experience working in a fresh production department. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in a fresh production department

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of meat products, their seasonality, and equipment usage
  • Process meat products according to specifications including cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines
  • Operate and maintain equipment while controlling inventory and shrinkage
  • Utilize digital tools to enhance sales, improve production decisions, and promote associate engagement
