The role being offered is for a Marketing Manager located in Los Angeles, California at the W Hotels property on Hilgard Avenue. This is a full-time management position with an attractive annual salary range of $96,000 to $126,000, and eligibility for bonuses, reflecting the importance of this function within the hotel’s leadership team. The Marketing Manager serves as the discipline leader for marketing, working collaboratively with sales and revenue management teams to create and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the hotel’s goals and overall positioning. This strategic role involves developing marketing plans and budgets that drive topline revenue growth and meet revenue per available room (RevPar) and share-of-wallet objectives. The successful candidate will manage all internal and external communications, oversee digital presence including the hotel website, social media channels, and third-party platforms, ensuring brand consistency and integrity throughout.
In addition to strategy development, the Marketing Manager identifies partnership opportunities with local and digital entities and monitors campaign performance closely to provide meaningful insights to general managers, sales leaders, and hotel ownership. They are responsible for leading repositioning efforts, brand guardianship, and coordination with hotel operations to deliver compelling property-level programming and marketing activations. The role also encompasses managing digital and email marketing strategies, paid media campaigns, and group lead generation activities. Social media strategy development and execution, including budgeting for paid social media campaigns, form a vital part of the responsibilities. The Marketing Manager also handles content management across various platforms, ensuring messaging aligns with the hotel's positioning, managing photography assets, and maintaining high-quality guest communications.
This position requires active engagement in sales strategy meetings and close collaboration with various stakeholders such as the revenue management team and area directors. The Marketing Manager will oversee marketing reports and analytics, adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights. Additionally, this role includes management of partnerships, public relations initiatives including PR events and agency relationships, and identification of outlet marketing opportunities in collaboration with food and beverage leadership.
Candidates for this position should possess a strong foundation in marketing principles supported by relevant academic qualifications and professional experience. The role demands excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to manage complex projects and relationships, and a passion for hospitality marketing. Marriott International’s commitment to associate development means that the Marketing Manager will have opportunities for growth and to make a significant impact within a globally respected brand. Joining the W Hotels team means becoming part of an innovative culture driven by creativity, openness, and a desire to redefine luxury hospitality for the future. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional looking to advance their career in the dynamic and rewarding field of hotel marketing management.
